Within the last year, Dr. Festa opened a new, state-of-the-art facility located at 43 Pine Street in New Canaan. The move marks an exciting new chapter for New Canaan Dental Care and its patients. “After 32 years on South Avenue, my landlord informed me that he was selling the property,” says Dr. Festa. “After an exhausting search for a new space, I was most fortunate to find and purchase the beautiful Pine Street location, given its proximity to my old office and its well-known address in town.”
As owner of New Canaan Dental Care, Dr. Festa brings more than 35 years of clinical experience to his practice. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Fordham University and the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, he completed an advanced general practice residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York where he further refined his skills in comprehensive dental care.
Today, Dr. Festa offers a full range of services including general, cosmetic, implant, and family dentistry. His practice provides treatments ranging from preventive care to periodontal treatment to smile makeovers, dental implants, crowns, whitening, Invisalign, and full-mouth rehabilitation.
One area that sets Dr. Festa apart is his focus on sleep health. As a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, he screens all patients for sleep apnea, a potentially life-threatening condition that often goes undiagnosed. Dr. Festa states, “It was my intention to create a truly relaxing and artistic dental space. I’ve always felt that stock photos of beautiful people with perfect teeth is quite intimidating. I’d much rather provide my patients with that perfect smile, but in a soothing, gallery-like atmosphere filled with captivating images.”

Dr. Festa believes there is a natural connection between his artistic pursuits and his dental practice. The same attention to detail that allows him to create compelling images also influences his clinical work. Utilizing 3x magnification loupes, he approaches dentistry with a photographer’s eye for precision, balance, and aesthetics. “His success rests in his ability to summon the viewer to see something as never before,” notes one description of his photography. Dr. Festa has consistently been voted as one of the Top Dentists in Connecticut by his peers. Beyond his professional work, he remains actively involved in the community. Dr. Festa is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, New Canaan Dental Society, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and Sleep Group Solutions. He has also served as a Children’s Dental Health Representative and dental liaison for the United Methodist Church Nursery School.
