SUMMARY:Pippin Production at Curtain Call
DESCRIPTION:Stop in to the Kweskin Theater see Curtain Call’s Summer Youth Theater production of Pippin!\nPIPPIN\nMusic and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by Roger O. Hirson.\nDirected by Joel H. Fenster\nMusic Direction by Eric K. Johnston\nChoreography by Emily Frangipane\nWith an infectiously unforgettable score from the four-time Grammy winner\, three-time Oscar winner and musical theatre giant\, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked\, Godspell\, Children of Eden)\, Pippin has been successfully produced on stages ranging from High School to Broadway. Sweeping the New York Awards circuit (Tony\, Drama Desk\, Drama League\, Outer Critics Circle) in 2013\, Pippin continues to captivate and appeal to the young at heart throughout the world.\nHeir to the Frankish throne\, the young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield\, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of his father\, King Charlemagne the Great). In the end\, though\, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors\, but rather in the unextraordinary moments that happen every day.\nPIPPIN may not be suitable for those under 16 due to the suggestive nature of the material. Parental discretion is advised.\nFor more information about the cast and production: https://www.curtaincallinc.com/shows/pippin-our-summer-youth-theatre-production/

SUMMARY:Build a Better World: Traveling Lantern Theatre Company Presents “The Ribbles Build a Residence”
DESCRIPTION:Join the Greenwich Library for the Summer Reading finale with a Traveling Lantern Company performance of The Ribbles Build a Residence: The ABC’s Architecture\, Building\, and Construction. Soon after their lovely insect nuptials\, Mr. and Mrs. Ribble are expecting a baby Ribblet\, and they need a new home for their family! Mr. Ribble wants to go big with a four grasshopper garage\, but Mrs. Ribble convinces him to build a dream home that is more environmentally and neighborhood friendly. By playing interactive games and discovering basic building techniques the audience will help draw a ground plan while Thia Tweet the bird architect and Gerry the Ant Contractor from Brooklyn assist the Ribbles in building a new home for a better world! Refreshments and raffles follow the show. Open to all ages at no charge\, no tickets needed. Doors open at 10:45am.For more information call (203) 622-7940 or visit www.greenwichlibrary.org/summerreading.
