Well into the winter season here at New Canaan High School, and fresh out of midterms, our various teams have been performing extremely well this week. Let’s take a look into each of the Varsity level sports here at NCHS.
Varsity Girls Ice Hockey
The week started on a high note for the Varsity Girls Ice Hockey team as they faced off against Fairfield Ludlowe/Warde on Monday. The girls secured a convincing 7-0 victory in a spectacular display of skill and teamwork. The momentum carried into Wednesday’s game against Stamford/Westhill/Staples, where they emerged triumphant with a solid 2-0 win.
Boys Varsity Basketball
The Boys Varsity Basketball team had an eventful week, starting with a resounding 57-44 win against Greenwich on Tuesday. The team showcased their offensive prowess and defensive strength, securing a well-deserved victory. However, the momentum was tempered on Friday when they faced Wilton away, resulting in a 46-38 loss. Despite the setback, the team remains determined to bounce back in the upcoming games.
Boys Varsity Ice Hockey
The Boys Varsity Ice Hockey team showcased their dominance in two matchups this week. On Tuesday, they faced Fairfield Warde/Ludlowe and emerged victorious with an impressive 8-1 win. The team continued their winning streak on Friday against Westhill/Stamford, securing a commanding 7-1 victory at home. Girls Varsity Basketball
