The New Canaan YMCA has recognized longtime staff member Kelly Garvey as its May Cause-Driven Leader, celebrating her 25-plus years of service and dedication to the health and well-being of the community.
Garvey, who joined the Y in 1998, has been a vital part of the Group Exercise Instructor team, known for her consistent encouragement and her ability to foster a welcoming, inclusive environment. Over the years, she has inspired hundreds of members to stay active, offering both motivation and support to individuals pursuing their fitness goals.
“Kelly’s passion for health and wellness is evident in everything she does,” said YMCA representatives. “She brings energy and care to every class, making each member feel seen and supported.”
In addition to her impact on members, Garvey is known for her camaraderie with colleagues and her unwavering commitment to the YMCA’s mission. The Y expressed deep appreciation for her years of service and the daily contributions she continues to make.
