On August 27th at 7 PM, the ninth annual Community Addiction Awareness Vigil will be held in downtown New Canaan, hosted and organized by The New Canaan Parent Support Group and its dedicated founder, Paul Reinhardt.
Nearly half of all Americans have a family member or close friend who has struggled with drug or alcohol addiction. This vigil has become a vital event in our community, promoting open dialogue and fostering a culture of empathy and acceptance for those affected by addiction. The stories shared each year have the potential to save lives, reminding us of the resilience and hope that can emerge from even the most challenging circumstances.
Silver Hill Hospital is proud to support and participate in the Vigil each year. I hope you will join me and my fellow staff members from the Hospital on the 27th.
Sincerely, Andrew J. Gerber, MD, PhD
