Great Backyard Bird Count at Grass Island Park

February 17, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free with suggested donations

Join Audubon Naturalists as we count waterbirds and land birds in Greenwich Harbor as part of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s annual Great Backyard Bird Count. Ducks, geese, loons, and gulls are some of the birds that we expect to see as they spend the winter on Long Island Sound. You will also get to help submit our findings to the bird count website and learn how you can submit your backyard counts too!
This IN-PERSON program has a limited capacity of participants and will be held entirely outdoors.
Grass Island Park is located on Grass Island Road a short distance from the Greenwich Train Station. We will be meeting in the first parking lot on the RIGHT after turning onto Grass Island Rd.
Restrooms will not be available so please plan accordingly.

– Program is free of charge but suggested donations are encouraged to support Audubon’s bird conservation efforts. We greatly thank you for your generosity.
