The New Canaan YMCA welcomed families of all ages to its annual Family Field Day on Sunday, May 18, offering a wide array of outdoor activities designed to promote wellness, creativity, and community spirit.
Held on the YMCA’s campus, the event featured classic games such as potato sack races and water balloon tosses alongside gaga ball, an inflatable obstacle course, a yoga challenge, and hands-on crafts including tie-dye, face painting, and pinwheel making. Families also enjoyed a selection of healthy snacks provided throughout the afternoon.
Organizers emphasized the importance of events that bring together local families in a relaxed, joyful setting. “We’re proud to host a day that encourages movement, imagination, and connection,” said YMCA staff during the event.
The YMCA extended its appreciation to the volunteers and staff who made the day possible, as well as to the many families who participated and contributed to the community atmosphere.
