My family has supported Republicans for over one hundred and thirty years, starting with my great grandmother who was a dress maker for President McKinley’s wife. So we don’t make endorsements lightly. Kim Norton has done an excellent job on the Town Council for four years and I have every confidence she will continue to do so for the next four years. New Canaan residents have benefited from Kim Norton’s energetic work on the Town Council.
Kim helped steer the Town Council through several budget cycles. She made suggestions to better shape the new Plan of Conservation & Development. She supported residents to keep a massive cell tower from scaring the West School landscape.
Kim has a four-year track record of providing team work and critical thinking to the Town Council. She listens to resident concerns. She does her research and is eager to get involved.
Kim will constructively challenge projects when they present risks and costs that are unacceptable.
She will continue to support policies that protect homeowners, advance New Canaan schools and enhance living in New Canaan.
Each candidate should be voted for based on his or her own merits, track record, and insights.
Kim has earned my vote and we need her energy and experience on the Town Council as we face the next round of challenges to our town.
