At 22:16 hrs., on Tuesday March 10, 2026, the New Canaan Fire Department received numerous 911 calls reporting a garage fire at the above address. NCFD and mutual aid units were immediately dispatched and responded. The first NCFD units arrived in minutes and encountered a heavy fire condition from an attached garage that had extended to the second floor. Companies stretched multiple hose lines and stopped the fire that was spreading across the attic to the rest of the structure. Members confirmed that everyone was out of the house. This operation was made more complicated due to the need to set up a relay pumping evolution to move water to the scene from a hydrant over 2500 feet away. The fire was extinguished and no civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. The New Canaan Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating and NCFD remains on scene for fire watch throughout the night. The NCFD would like to recognize the dedication of all members operating at a difficult and well-advanced fire. We would also like to thank all the mutual aid units, NC EMS, and NCPD for their help in this operation.
