Friends Friday Film Series: Hitchcock/Truffaut

There’s no longer-lived or better-known program associated with Greenwich Library than the Friends Friday Film Series, now 69 years old. The screening of the day is Hitchcock/Truffaut (directed by Kent Jones). Documentary based on a 1962 week-long meeting between these two directors. In the book that followed their meeting Hitchcock talked and divulged all about his successful films and his talent for creating suspense. Flash forward to the present and this film brings alive their meeting, augmented with interviews of other famous directors. Fascinating. Friends Friday Films are open to all at no charge through the support of the Friends of Greenwich Library.
