Friends Friday Films: Eye in the Sky

There’s no longer-lived or better-known program associated with Greenwich Library than the Friends Friday Film Series, now 69 years old. The screening of the day is Eye in the Sky (2015, directed by Gavin Hood). After tracking a terrorist for years, army colonel Helen Mirren  must make an agonizing decision  whether to endanger  a civilian in a drone attack. A crisply-made intelligent modern-day drone war thriller that ponders such things as collateral damage, the total cost of war (physical and psychological), command decisions and moral issues. Friends Friday Films are open to all at no charge through the support of the Friends of Greenwich Library.
