33rd Annual Shakespeare Competition

Twenty-two students, chosen through preliminary high school competitions throughout Fairfield, New Haven and Hartford counties, will perform from memory a twenty line monologue and sonnet.  The distinguished panel of judges includes theatre professionals John Cunningham, Florence Phillips and Jo Anne Parady.   The winner will advance to the English-Speaking Union’s National Competition held in May at Lincoln Center.

The event is sponsored by the Greenwich Branch of the English-Speaking Union, the Smith College Club of Greenwich/Stamford and The Friends of the Greenwich Library.  The event is free and open to the public.
