AuthorsLive: "Ernest Hemingway: A Biography" by Mary Dearborn @ Greenwich Library

May 23, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free
Greenwich Library Meeting Room
Meet Mary V. Dearborn, author of the first full biography of Hemingway in more than fifteen years. A revelatory look into the life and work of the winner of the 1954 Nobel Prize in Literature; a rich and nuanced portrait of a complex, enigmatic American artist, whose seven novels and six short story collections informed–and are still informing–fiction writing generations after his death.
The author draws upon a massive cache of papers Hemingway left behind when he fled his Cuban farm in 1961; his complete FBI file, detailing his wartime experience in pursuit of German submarines in the Caribbean; the recently opened KGB archive of American activities connecting Hemingway to the KGB as a “recruitment”; Hemingway family papers and more.
Sales and signing by Diane’s Books.
