Caren's Cos Cobber Hosts GEMS benefit

On Wednesday, May 24, “Just for GEMS,” the annual benefit for Greenwich Emergency Medical Service, will be held at Caren’s Cos Cobber, 31 East Putnam Ave. The event will take place between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Half of the day’s proceeds are donated by the restaurant’s owner, Caren Vizzo, to support GEMS, the independent non-profit organization that relies on donations to replace or refurbish one ambulance each year, and to maintain medical equipment.  GEMS Executive Director, Tracy Schietinger, and benefit coordinator, Ann Hagmann, encourage prospective diners to visit Caron’s Cos Cobber, and to enjoy excellent food and company for a common cause.
