Friends Friday Films: Carol

There’s no longer-lived or better-known program associated with Greenwich Library than the Friends Friday Film Series, now 69 years old. The screening of the day is Carol (2015, directed by Todd Haynes).  In an adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s seminal novel The Price of Salt, Carol follows two women from very different backgrounds who find themselves in an unexpected love affair in 1950s New York. Conventional norms of the time challenge their undeniable attraction. Friends Friday Films are open to all at no charge through the support of the Friends of Greenwich Library.
