Scouting for Food

March 4, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Greenwich, CT – On Saturday, March 4th, thanks to the leadership of honorary chair Hon. Fred Camillo and junior chair, Life Scout, Ajax Shung, the Greenwich Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts will participate in the “Scouting for Food” drive by collecting food from local residents to benefit Neighbor to Neighbor.  From 9:00AM to11:30AM on Saturday, March 4th, food donations can be brought to one of the four drop-off locations: Glenville Vol. Fire Co. (266 Glenville Road), Cos Cob Vol. Fire Co. (200 East Putnam Avenue), Sound Beach Vol. Fire Dept. (207 Sound Beach Avenue) and Christ Church (254 E. Putnam Ave, Front Circle, library). Greenwich residents are encouraged to drop-off non-expired items such as canned beans (not green), canned fruit, tuna, boxed milk, pasta sauce, jelly, peanut butter and more.  All donated food will be sorted then delivered by Scouts to Neighbor to Neighbor, with a goal of surpassing the 2016 collection amounts of 160+ crates of food.
